| Piggy Back (Jinja, Uganda)   One of the remarkable things about Africa
is the independence and maturity of the children. It’s not uncommon to
see 10-year old kids happily working alone in a field, packing firewood, or
herding his family’s goats. But what’s amazing is the freedom the
kids have at play, away from the worries that plague most modern cultures.
And they sure know how to have fun with simple things.    These boys were one
of the many who greeted us in a Ugandan village, as we passed through on
  cycles. |
